Singin’ in the Rain (rehearsals begin June 11, performances run June 27-July 13)
Little Women (rehearsals begin July 1, performances run July 18-27)
Million Dollar Quartet (rehearsals begin July 16, performances run August 1-10)
SCHEDULE (subject to change):
- Rehearsals run roughly 9 am to 10 pm with appropriate meal and rest breaks; Mondays are company days off
DUTIES:
- Actors are required to perform as cast and as directed
- Non-AEA actors may be given understudy assignments which will be communicated no less than 2 weeks prior to the start of rehearsals
- Actors will participate in any promotional activities as directed
- Non-AEA actors may be asked to assist with simple technical duties for performance purposes (moving sets, props, etc.) and will have strike responsibilities immediately following the final performance to be decided by the technical director for each show
- Non-AEA actors may be asked to assist with basic technical tasks in one of the shops when not called for rehearsal, not to exceed 3 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age (as of June 11, 2025)
- Should have at least one year of college-level theatre training or commensurate professional (paid) experience
POSITIONS:
- Non-AEA Ensemble Actor ($1000-$1400/show) These positions are intended for those in the midst of their college training or those who have graduated in recent years. May be hired for more than one show in the season.
- Guest Artist AEA or Non-AEA (non-AEA $1600/show, AEA Guest Artist Tier III) dates vary: will appear in a principal role in one show only. These positions are intended for those who have completed their training and have significant experience working in the industry.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To be considered for a position in the SSMT 2025 company, please complete the form at the bottom of this page by March 1, 2025. This form asks for a link to a video audition; you may also submit a reel and/or website.
AUDITIONS:
All initial auditions are accepted online; you will include a link to an UNLISTED YouTube video of two contrasting musical theatre song selections that fit the season. Total audition should be approximately 60-90 seconds.Once your materials have been reviewed, you may be invited to submit a callback audition, either via video or in person.
